1. Be completely sold out for God (1 Kings 19:19-21).
  • Elisha gave up everything to follow God’s plan for his life.
  • What do you need to give up to follow God?
2. Be dedicated in following God’s plan (2 Kings 2:1-18).
  • Elisha didn’t let anyone take away his focus on God.
  • Who or what is trying to take your focus away?
3. Be ready to follow God (2 Kings 2:1-18).
  • Elisha had to be ready to pick up Elijah’s ministry at any moment.
  • Are you ready to follow God’s lead in your life?
4. Be a provider of physical help (2 Kings 2:19-22).
  • Elisha helped people by providing what was needed.
  • Who can you provide physical help to?
5. Be willing to be rejected by people (2 Kings 2:23-25).
  • Elisha was rejected by people who claimed to follow God but really did not.
  • How do you handle rejection?
6. Be a provider of service to others (2 Kings 4:1-37).
  • Elisha served those who were in need.
  • Who can you serve?
7. Be interesting to those who sincerely seek God (2 Kings 5).
  • Elisha was popular outside of Israel among those who were sincerely seeking God.
  • Do others seek you out because they are seeking God?
8. Be a provider of leadership (2 Kings 6:1-7).
  • Elisha led those around him to constantly improve.
  • Are you a leader or a follower?
9. Be a provider of spiritual help (2 Kings 6:8-7:20).
  • Elisha showed people how God was working in their lives.
  • How is God working in your life?
10. Be like Jesus (2 Kings 4:42-44).
  • Elisha was like Jesus through healing, saving, feeding, and serving people.
  • Are you an example of and for Jesus in your life?
