The Plan (Ephesians 1-3) 02/06/2012
You cannot take a trip without having a plan. Likewise, we cannot know how best to serve God without knowing his plan. In Ephesians 1-3, Paul outlines the plan of God, teaching that it is for our benefit, for the praise of his glory. When we know his plan, we can live his plan.

Salvation and God's Glory (Ephesians 2) 01/23/2012
Our history with God begins with our sin, but God's history with us begins with a plan--a plan to redeem us, a plan to overcome hostility, a plan to dwell with us--for his glory.
Prayer and Power: Ephesians 1:15-23 01/18/2012
In this passage, Paul prays for the believers and we can learn from his prayer about God's great love for his people, including his power that is at work for them. This is the same power that was at work in Christ.
Resolve to Mature 01/06/2012
The new year is a good time to make resolutions. What better resolution to make than one involving greater maturity in faith? In Ephesians 4:1-16, Paul points out that the goal of faith is maturity. Churches and individuals ought to set maturity as a goal, using the example of a mature church in Acts 2:42-47 as a guide.

Letting Go to Grow 10/31/2011
If we're going to grow spiritually, we'll need to let some things go and leave them behind. In Galatians 5, Paul teaches us to leave behind the acts of the flesh and cultivate and grow the fruit of the Spirit. What do you need to leave behind so that you can grow to be closer to God?
The Son (Hebrews 1:1-2:3) 10/24/2011
In this early portion of Hebrews, the writer focuses on Jesus and puts Jesus forward as a "soul anchor" to tie your life to.
Don't Take Sides 10/12/2011
Jesus died for us while we were his enemies. How should we treat our enemies? We can change by focusing on humility (how we view ourselves), honor (how we view others), and hospitality (how we humbly serve those we honor). From Romans 5:1-11 and 12:1-3, 9-13.
Trust and Revenge 10/03/2011
Psalm 109 helps us walk through our emotions and feelings of anger and betrayal and revenge. We learn that while it's okay to voice these feelings, it is not okay to stay there. We must move from anger and revenge to trust in God, learning to let God deal with our problems with other people.
