| YOU Are the Church |
In this sermon, from Ephesians 2:19-22 and 1 Corinthians 14:26, we'll examine how we often use the word "church" to refer to a building. But this creates passiveness in us. God wants us to be active--he is actively forming and shaping us into his holy temple where he dwells. We need to be active, to participate, and to add value.

Jeremy, This was a particularly good sermon. You are so right that many people refer to church as "my church or the building". I was never aware that "I" had my own church! I always have told people that I am a member of the Church of Christ that meets at Horton Road! That is what I read in the Bible. Thanks for bringing out some of these discrepancies that we advertantly say and maybe believe. I'm sure there many other sermons along this theme. Sorry I will miss the next few weeks while I'm in France. Will be there this week. We leave on Tuesday at 10:00am from Detroit. Please keep our daughter, Ginny, and me in your prayers as we travel. We'll back in the states on June 2, Lord willing. Love, Pat Your comment will be posted after it is approved. Leave a Reply | |||
